The ISCAR 3201363 is an indexable insert drill designed for general-purpose drilling operations in metal cutting applications. Part of the DR-3D-N series, it accepts SOMX060304 style inserts and carries two drill inserts for efficient material removal. The drill body is constructed from steel and features a Weldon Flat and Flange shank measuring 1 inch in diameter, providing positive rotational drive in standard drill chucks and holders. With a maximum drill depth of 2.2 inches and a 3xD depth-to-diameter ratio, this tool suits production drilling environments where consistent hole quality and repeatable insert indexing are priorities. Coolant is delivered through an axial concentric entry port with a 1/4-18 NPT threaded connection.
This tool is suited for CNC machining centers and mill-drill setups handling ferrous and non-ferrous materials in both job shop and production environments. The right-hand cutting direction and straight Weldon Flat shank make it a direct fit in standard toolholders commonly found in horizontal and vertical machining centers. Machinists and tooling technicians working in precision manufacturing, general fabrication, and contract machining will find this drill appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole drilling at moderate depths.
Compatible with SOMX060304 indexable inserts. Designed for use with 1-inch modular connection toolholders. Insert lock screw SR 34-508/L is specified for this drill body. Verify toolholder bore diameter and clamping style before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secured before inserting or removing the drill body. Torque insert clamping screws using the manufacturer-supplied key to seat inserts properly before cutting. Confirm coolant supply lines are connected and flow is verified prior to initiating the drilling cycle.
