The ISCAR 2800994 is a replaceable tip milling shank in the Multimaster series, designed to accept a wide range of interchangeable milling tips for modular tooling setups. The shank features a 90-degree straight shank profile with a 3/8-inch diameter and a T06 neck thread, providing a secure connection between the shank body and the replaceable cutting tip. Overall length is 3.15 inches. The shank body is manufactured from solid carbide, which delivers the rigidity and vibration resistance required for precise milling operations. This toolholder is installed and used by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
The 2800994 is suited for use in CNC milling machines where modular tooling systems reduce changeover time and allow one shank to support multiple tip geometries. The Multimaster system allows the tip to be swapped without removing the shank from the spindle. The MM-GRT toolholder style is compatible with a broad range of Multimaster tip styles, making this shank a versatile component in modular milling setups across both light and heavy material removal applications.
Compatible Multimaster tip styles include: MM EA, MM EA-CF, MM EB, MM EBA, MM EC-4, MM EC-CF, MM EC-D, MM EC-H, MM ECF, MM ECS, MM ECU, MM EDF, MM EFF, MM EFS, MM EFS-CF, MM ERS, MM ETR, MM FF, MM GRIT-16K/P, MM GRIT-18K/P, MM GRIT-K/P-45A, MM HBR, MM HC, MM HCD, MM HCF, MM HCR, MM HDF, and MM HR, among others listed by ISCAR for the Multimaster system.
Installation and tip changes are performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before mounting the shank or swapping a tip. Use the appropriate ISCAR Multimaster torque key or spanner to seat the tip thread to the manufacturer-specified engagement — do not use substitutes that could damage the T06 thread. Confirm shank runout with an indicator after mounting before beginning a cut.
