The IPS 86626 is a copper-plated steel support bracket designed to secure supply lines and tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing installations. At 26 inches in overall length with 1/2-inch holes, this 16-gauge bracket mounts directly to wood or metal studs by nailing or screwing, then the pipe is soldered in place for a rigid, permanent connection. The copper-plated finish resists corrosion and bonds well with soldered joints. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this bracket to eliminate pipe movement, reduce noise, and cut jobsite labor compared to fabricating custom wood blocks or field brackets.
The IPS 86626 is suited for a range of residential plumbing applications including tubing runs, lavatory supply lines, toilet connections, hose bib installations, and water heater piping. Its simple nail-and-solder installation method makes it a practical choice for rough-in work where consistent bracket placement and vibration control are priorities. The bracket is packaged 50 units per case, making it efficient to stock for multi-unit projects or regular service work.
Designed for use with tubing, lavatory supply lines, toilet connections, hose bib piping, and water heater supply runs in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before soldering pipe to the bracket. Nail or screw the bracket securely to the stud before making any pipe connections. Do not use the bracket as a structural load-bearing element beyond its rated pipe-support application.
