The IPS 83008 is a two-hole pipe clamp sized for 3/4-inch pipe and molded from polyethylene plastic. It secures pipe runs to walls, studs, joists, or framing with two fastener points, distributing load evenly and reducing pipe movement. The polyethylene construction resists corrosion and moisture, making it suitable for wet or damp installation environments. Plumbers and pipefitters install this style of clamp during rough-in work to anchor supply, drain, and vent lines at regular intervals along their run length. The Figure C634 designation identifies the clamp geometry for cross-referencing with project specifications or submittal documents.
This clamp is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications where 3/4-inch pipe must be supported along walls or structural members. Common install scenarios include water supply lines, drainage runs, and similar piping systems routed through framed or masonry construction. The lightweight polyethylene body suits applications where metal clamps would create dissimilar-metal concerns or where corrosion resistance is a priority. Installers working in crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, and utility chases will find this clamp a standard choice for maintaining pipe alignment and code-compliant support spacing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use clamp for 3/4-inch pipe support applications in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following local plumbing code requirements, including IPC pipe support spacing intervals for the pipe material and size in use. Power down any pressurized system and relieve line pressure before repositioning existing pipe runs. Fasten through both holes using appropriate fasteners for the substrate — wood screws for framed construction, masonry anchors for concrete or block. Do not overtighten fasteners to the point of deforming the polyethylene clamp body.
