The IPEX 9835007 is a 3/4-inch CPVC Schedule 80 socket x female adapter fitting designed for industrial and commercial piping systems where chemical resistance and long service life are required. Manufactured from Corzan CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride), this fitting handles a broad range of service temperatures and resists corrosion from acids, alcohols, alkaline solutions, salt solutions, and halogens. Schedule 80 wall construction provides added pressure and impact resistance over Schedule 40. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipe fitters install this adapter to transition between CPVC socket-end piping and female-threaded connections.
This fitting is suited for use in chemical process piping, industrial fluid handling, and potable water distribution systems. The Corzan CPVC material is immune to electrochemical and galvanic corrosion, making it a reliable choice in underground installations and in environments where soil conditions are corrosive. It is listed with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and CSA International for potable water service, broadening its application to water treatment and distribution infrastructure as well as industrial process lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 3/4-inch CPVC Schedule 80 piping systems. Compatible with Corzan CPVC pipe, valves, and fittings within the IPEX industrial PVF system. Consult system design documentation to confirm pressure and temperature ratings at the intended service conditions.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipe fitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, including IPC and ASTM guidelines for CPVC solvent-cement joining. Depressurize and drain the piping system completely before cutting into an existing line. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer on socket-end joints; do not substitute PVC cement. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer's instructions before restoring system pressure.
