The IPEX 9801211 is a Schedule 80 CPVC reducing tee fitting designed for solvent-weld installation in industrial and commercial piping systems. It features a socket x socket x socket configuration with a 1-1/2 inch run and a 1 inch branch outlet, allowing a smaller perpendicular branch to connect directly off the main line. Rated for a maximum service temperature of 200 degrees F under pressure, with occasional exposure to boiling water at 212 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding thermal environments. CPVC construction provides a design stress of 2,000 psi at 73 degrees F.
This tee is intended for use in Xirtec CPVC piping systems, which are common in industrial process piping, hot and cold water distribution, and chemical handling applications. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working with Schedule 80 CPVC systems where a reducing branch takeoff is required. The all-socket end configuration makes it compatible with standard solvent-cement joining techniques used throughout CPVC piping installations.
Designed for use with Xirtec CPVC Schedule 80 piping systems using solvent-cement joining methods.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before cutting in the tee. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer appropriate for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before returning the system to service. Do not apply heat or over-clamp CPVC fittings during assembly.
