The IPEX 9801020 is a 2-inch CPVC Schedule 80 Socket Tee fitting engineered for demanding industrial and chemical process piping systems. Manufactured from Corzan chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, this fitting delivers exceptional resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and a broad range of aggressive chemicals including acids, alcohols, alkalies, salt solutions, and halogens. The smooth interior wall maintains consistent flow rates without rust, pitting, or scaling over the service life of the system. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this fitting as part of a complete pressure-rated thermoplastic piping assembly where metal systems are impractical or cost-prohibitive.
This tee is suited for industrial chemical processing lines, potable water distribution, and other applications requiring a pressure-rated thermoplastic fitting with superior underground and above-ground corrosion immunity. It is designed and manufactured to IPEX dimensional and performance standards as part of the Corzan Pipe, Valves and Fittings system, allowing the entire piping assembly to be sourced from and backed by a single manufacturer. It is listed with NSF and CSA International for use in potable water service.
Designed as an OEM-style component within the IPEX Corzan Schedule 80 CPVC Pipe, Valves and Fittings system, intended for integration with compatible Schedule 80 CPVC pipe and fittings in industrial and potable water piping assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, including the IPC and relevant ASTM standards for CPVC solvent-cement joints. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer formulated for Schedule 80 fittings. Allow full cure time before returning the system to service pressure.
