The IPEX 59623 is a CPVC Schedule 80 reducer coupling designed to connect pipes and fittings of different diameters in industrial piping systems. Manufactured from Corzan CPVC material, this socket-by-socket fitting provides a reliable transition from 1-1/2 inches down to 1/2 inches. The Schedule 80 wall thickness makes it suitable for higher-pressure industrial service where standard Schedule 40 fittings are insufficient. Plumbers and pipefitters install this coupling wherever a step-down in pipe diameter is required within a CPVC piping run, including chemical processing, industrial water treatment, and related fluid-handling applications.
This reducer coupling is part of the Xirtec CPVC product line, intended for industrial piping applications. It assembles using certified Xirtec CPVC components made with Corzan CPVC, ensuring material consistency throughout the system. It is suited for environments where corrosion resistance and chemical compatibility are priorities, such as industrial plants and process piping installations requiring a reliable, pressure-rated reducer fitting.
Designed as an OEM-style reducer fitting for use within the Xirtec CPVC Schedule 80 product line, compatible with 1-1/2 inches and 1/2 inches CPVC Schedule 80 pipe and fittings joined by solvent cement.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, including the IPC where adopted. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting into any existing piping. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer appropriate for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before restoring pressure. Do not use this fitting with PVC pipe or PVC solvent cements, as material compatibility is required throughout the system.
