The IPEX 59462 is a CPVC Schedule 80 reducing coupling with a 1-inch socket inlet and a 3/4-inch socket outlet, designed for use in industrial and chemical process piping systems. Built to IPEX dimensional and performance standards, this fitting handles a maximum service temperature of 200 degrees F under pressure, with occasional exposure to boiling water at 212 degrees F. The design stress rating for the CPVC material is 2,000 psi at 73 degrees F. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on process piping, chemical distribution, and industrial fluid handling systems.
This coupling is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial process piping applications where corrosion resistance and chemical compatibility are required. It is commonly installed in systems handling acids, alcohols, salts, and halogens. The Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added pressure capacity compared to Schedule 40, making it appropriate for demanding process environments. It fits into the IPEX Xirtec CPVC system, which is engineered as a complete pipe, valve, and fitting package from a single manufacturer.
Designed as an OEM-style component within the IPEX Xirtec CPVC Schedule 80 process piping system, compatible with standard CPVC Schedule 80 pipe and fittings conforming to applicable dimensional standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter familiar with CPVC solvent-cement joining procedures. Shut down and depressurize the piping system completely before cutting or joining fittings. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer; do not substitute PVC cement. Follow applicable plumbing and process piping codes, including ASTM and ASME standards relevant to your jurisdiction.
