The IPEX 400p8090dsch80elb is a 4-inch Schedule 80 PVC conduit 90-degree elbow with plain ends, designed for use in electrical conduit systems that require a standard-radius directional change. Built from rigid PVC, Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater impact and crush resistance compared to Schedule 40, making it suitable for exposed, direct-burial, and higher-stress installations. This fitting is installed by licensed electricians and electrical contractors in both new construction and retrofit applications where conduit routing must change direction by 90 degrees.
This elbow is appropriate for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical conduit runs where a standard-radius 90-degree bend is required. The plain-end configuration allows for solvent-cement joining to mating PVC conduit or fittings. Schedule 80 fittings are commonly specified in locations subject to physical abuse or where local codes require heavier-wall conduit, including exposed runs, outdoor installations, and areas subject to mechanical damage.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 4-inch Schedule 80 PVC electrical conduit systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for conduit systems. De-energize and lock out all circuits before working on or near existing conduit runs. Clean and dry all mating surfaces before applying solvent cement, and allow full cure time before pulling conductors. Do not use this fitting with Schedule 40 conduit systems where Schedule 80 is specifically required by the project specification or authority having jurisdiction.
