The IPEX 36348 is a 1-1/2-inch PVC Schedule 80 two-piece flange fitting designed for industrial and commercial piping systems where chemical resistance and long service life are required. Manufactured to Schedule 80 dimensional standards, this flange provides a robust mechanical connection point in pressure and gravity-flow applications. The PVC construction delivers full immunity to rust, pitting, scale, and corrosion, while maintaining a smooth interior bore throughout its service life. Maximum service temperature reaches 140 degrees F in pressure service and 180 degrees F during intermittent gravity flow. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in chemical process, industrial, and potable water systems.
This flange is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial piping installations where aggressive media — including most acids, alcohols, alkalis, salt solutions, and halogens — are present. It is also listed with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and CSA International for use with potable water, broadening its range of acceptable applications. The IPEX Xirtec PVC system, of which this fitting is a part, is engineered and manufactured under a single-manufacturer quality standard, eliminating dimensional mismatches common when mixing components from multiple sources.
Designed as an OEM-style component within the IPEX Xirtec PVC Schedule 80 pipe, valves, and fittings system for 1-1/2-inch diameter piping. Suitable for chemical process, industrial process, and potable water piping applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for PVC pressure piping. Depressurize and drain the piping system completely before removing or installing flange components. Use solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 PVC where socket connections are involved, and allow full cure time before returning the line to service. Do not exceed the rated service temperature or pressure for this fitting.
