The IPEX 36067 is a 6-inch PVC Schedule 80 socket cap designed for industrial and chemical process piping systems. This fitting provides a pressure-rated end closure for Schedule 80 PVC pipe, delivering long service life without the corrosion, rust, or scaling that affects metal alternatives. The Schedule 80 wall thickness gives it greater pressure capacity than Schedule 40 fittings of the same size, making it appropriate for demanding process lines. It is installed by licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters working on chemical handling, water treatment, and industrial fluid distribution systems.
This socket cap is suited for use in chemical process piping, industrial fluid handling, and other applications where resistance to aggressive media is required. The PVC material performs reliably with most acids, alcohols, alkalis, salt solutions, and halogens. It is rated for pressure service up to 140 degrees F and can handle intermittent gravity-flow service up to 180 degrees F, making it a practical choice for a wide range of industrial process environments in both commercial and industrial facilities.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 6-inch Schedule 80 PVC piping systems in industrial and chemical process applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber or industrial pipefitter following applicable plumbing codes and the pipe manufacturer's solvent-cement joining procedures. Isolate and depressurize the line completely before cutting or fitting. Use the correct Schedule 80-rated PVC primer and solvent cement for the pipe diameter and service conditions. Allow full cure time before returning the line to service or applying pressure.
