The IPEX 300p4090dsch40elb is a Schedule 40 PVC conduit 90-degree elbow with plain ends, sized for 3-inch trade-size conduit runs. This standard-radius elbow is used to change direction in rigid PVC electrical conduit systems, routing conductors through bends while maintaining the mechanical protection required by NEC installations. Constructed from gray PVC with a 13-inch bend radius, it provides a smooth interior sweep that reduces pull tension on wire and cable. Electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting during new construction and retrofit work where non-metallic conduit is the specified raceway solution.
This elbow is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical conduit installations where Schedule 40 PVC conduit is used. It is commonly installed in underground runs, concrete encasements, and above-grade raceway systems where corrosion resistance and non-metallic construction are required. The plain-end configuration accepts standard PVC conduit cement for a solvent-welded, permanent joint. It is appropriate for direct-buried and concrete-encased applications where PVC conduit is code-compliant per NEC Article 352.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 3-inch Schedule 40 PVC electrical conduit systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 352 and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the conduit run before pulling conductors. Clean and dry mating surfaces before applying PVC solvent cement; allow full cure time before pulling wire. Do not use this fitting with Schedule 80 conduit sockets or fittings intended for pressure piping service.
