The IPEX 156363 is a 2-inch, 45-degree wye fitting for acid waste drainage systems, manufactured from flame-retardant, specially formulated polypropylene. Designed for the Labline mechanical joint system, it uses an Elastolive seal that requires no heat, fusing, caulking, or welding during installation. The all-plastic construction eliminates galvanic action, electrolysis, and corrosion, making it well-suited for laboratory and industrial environments where chemical drainage is a daily condition. Licensed plumbers and pipe fitters install this fitting as part of above-ground acid waste drain, waste, and vent systems in both new construction and renovation work.
The IPEX 156363 is used in Labline acid waste piping systems in laboratories, research facilities, schools, and healthcare settings. Its modular mechanical joint design makes it particularly practical for remodeling projects where system layouts may need to change. Because the fitting is fully reusable and disassemblable, it can be reconfigured without cutting or replacing existing runs. It is rated for an operating temperature range of -20 degrees F to 212 degrees F, covering typical lab drain conditions including intermittent hot liquid discharge.
Designed for use in Labline acid waste piping systems. The 45-degree wye configuration is available in 1-1/2 inches, 2 inches, 3 inches, and 4 inches sizes to suit various branch and main line configurations within a Labline installation.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers following applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines for acid waste systems. Isolate and drain the existing system before making any connections or disassembling joints. No pre-heating is required to seat the Elastolive — follow the manufacturer's joint assembly procedure for correct olive engagement. Verify fitting orientation and branch alignment before finalizing the joint to prevent misalignment-induced leaks.
