The IO HVAC CONTROLS ZD-2610 is a modulating zone damper designed for commercial HVAC zoning applications. It regulates airflow within duct systems by incrementally opening and closing to precise positions, allowing zone controllers to maintain targeted temperatures across multiple areas of a building. At 26 inches by 10 inches, it fits standard commercial rectangular duct openings of that size. Weighing 10 pounds, the unit is built for the physical demands of commercial installation. This damper is intended for installation by licensed HVAC technicians working on commercial forced-air systems.
The ZD-2610 is suited for commercial buildings where independent zone control is required, such as office spaces, retail facilities, and light commercial structures. It operates as part of a zoning system that pairs zone dampers with a central zone controller and thermostat inputs to deliver variable airflow on demand. It is installed inline within rectangular supply or return ductwork as part of a multi-zone HVAC layout. This is not a two-position on/off damper - its modulating design allows proportional airflow control for tighter comfort and efficiency management.
Designed as an OEM-style modulating zone damper for commercial rectangular duct systems requiring proportional airflow control in multi-zone HVAC installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with commercial zoning systems and low-voltage control wiring. Shut down the air handling unit and de-energize all associated control circuits before beginning installation. The damper must be mounted inline within the ductwork according to the manufacturer's orientation markings, and control wiring must be run in compliance with NEC requirements for low-voltage systems. Do not apply power to the actuator until all duct connections are secured and control wiring is verified.
