The IO HVAC CONTROLS TD-2608-BM is a rectangular zone damper built for forced-air zoning systems that require precise airflow control in residential and light commercial ductwork. Sized at 26 x 8 inches, it ships with a Belimo 3-wire actuator mounted to the bottom of the damper frame, providing a 60-second open/close cycle time. The actuator-and-damper assembly is engineered to the dimensional and electrical standards used in Trane and American Standard zoning applications, making it a direct-fit solution for those platforms. Licensed HVAC technicians handling zone system installations and service calls are the primary installers of this assembly.
This damper is designed for rectangular supply or return duct runs in zoned HVAC systems. It is commonly installed during new zoning system buildouts or as a replacement in existing Trane and American Standard zone control systems. The bottom-mount actuator orientation suits duct configurations where side or top access is limited. The 60-second Belimo 3-wire actuator accepts a standard 24-volt zone control signal and provides both spring-return and modulating capability depending on the control board configuration.
Designed as a direct-fit rectangular zone damper for Trane and American Standard zoning systems requiring a 26 x 8 inch damper with a bottom-mount Belimo 3-wire actuator.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with low-voltage zoning controls and duct fabrication. Shut down the air handler and de-energize the zone control board before disconnecting or wiring the actuator. Secure the damper frame squarely in the duct opening to prevent blade binding and ensure a full seal at both end positions. Follow NEC requirements for low-voltage control wiring and refer to the zone control board manufacturer's wiring diagram for actuator terminal assignments.
