The IO HVAC CONTROLS TD-2420 is a rectangular zone damper designed for use in residential and light commercial HVAC zoning systems. It controls airflow through a specific zone by opening and closing on command from a zone control board or thermostat. The damper ships with a 60-second Belimo 3-wire actuator pre-mounted, which provides reliable, spring-return operation and integrates cleanly with standard low-voltage zoning controls. At 24 inches wide by 20 inches tall, this is a large-format damper suited for trunk-line or large branch-duct applications. Licensed HVAC technicians typically handle installation as part of a new zoning system build-out or a retrofit of an existing forced-air system.
This damper is built as a direct-fit replacement for Trane and American Standard rectangular zone damper applications. It is sized for 24 x 20 inch duct openings and is appropriate for residential and commercial forced-air systems where zone control is required. The included Belimo 3-wire actuator operates on a standard 24-volt control signal, making it compatible with most residential and light commercial zone control boards that use spring-return, on/off actuator wiring. Typical installations include main trunk dampers or large supply plenum branches where multiple zones are served from a single air handler.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for Trane and American Standard rectangular zone damper installations using a 24 x 20 inch duct opening with a 3-wire Belimo-style actuator.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with forced-air zoning systems. Power down the air handler and de-energize the zone control board before disconnecting or wiring the actuator. The 3-wire actuator connects to the zone board using standard low-voltage wiring practices per NEC guidelines. Verify duct dimensions and actuator wire polarity against the zone control board documentation before energizing the system.
