The IO HVAC CONTROLS TD-2208-BM is a rectangular zone damper engineered for zoned HVAC systems requiring precise airflow control in ductwork measuring 22 inches wide by 8 inches tall. It ships with a Belimo 3-wire actuator that drives the damper blade to open or closed positions with a 60-second cycle time, providing reliable zone isolation in multi-zone residential and light commercial forced-air systems. The actuator mounts on the bottom of the damper body, a configuration that suits installations where overhead clearance is limited. Licensed HVAC technicians install this damper as part of zone control systems managed by a zone control board or thermostat-based controller.
This damper is designed for use in rectangular supply or return duct runs in zoned forced-air systems compatible with Trane and American Standard equipment. It fits into standard duct openings and is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications where individual room or zone temperature control is required. The bottom-mount actuator orientation makes it well suited for horizontal duct runs where side or top mounting is not practical. The 3-wire actuator wiring scheme allows the zone controller to command both open and close positions directly.
Designed for use with Trane and American Standard forced-air zoning applications as an OEM-style zone damper replacement or new installation component in rectangular duct systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with zoning system wiring and duct fabrication. Power down the zone controller and air handler before wiring the actuator to avoid damaging control boards or the actuator motor. Confirm the actuator wiring matches the zone controller terminal designations for 3-wire open-close actuators before energizing the system. Follow local mechanical codes and the zone controller manufacturer wiring diagrams during installation.
