The IO HVAC CONTROLS TD-1610-BM is a rectangular zone damper designed for use in zoned forced-air HVAC systems. It ships with a Belimo 3-wire actuator mounted on the bottom of the damper body, providing a 60-second open and close cycle time. The damper measures 16 inches wide by 10 inches tall at the duct opening and is built to Trane and American Standard duct system specifications. Licensed HVAC technicians install this component as part of a multi-zone control system to regulate airflow to individual zones, improving comfort and system efficiency.
This zone damper is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air systems using Trane or American Standard zoning equipment. It is installed inline in rectangular sheet metal ductwork, typically on branch runs feeding individual zones. The bottom-mount actuator position accommodates installations where side access is limited. The 60-second Belimo actuator is a 3-wire spring-return type, which allows the zone controller to drive the damper to open or closed and relies on spring return for fail-safe positioning on power loss.
Designed for use with Trane and American Standard rectangular duct zoning systems requiring a 16 x 10 inch zone damper with a 3-wire Belimo actuator interface.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Shut down the air handler and de-energize the zone control system before installing or servicing the damper. Secure the damper in the duct run using sheet metal screws and seal all joints with foil tape or mastic per local mechanical code requirements. Verify actuator wiring matches the zone controller terminal designations before restoring power.
