The IO HVAC CONTROLS T-S2 is an indoor wired remote temperature sensor designed to work with compatible zone control thermostats and controllers in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. It houses two 10K thermistors wired in series for a combined 20K resistance, providing accurate zone-level temperature readings to the connected controller. At 0.15 pounds and a compact footprint of 2.75 inches wide by 4.75 inches deep by 1 inch tall, the T-S2 mounts easily in occupied spaces where a full thermostat is not required. Licensed HVAC technicians install this sensor as part of a zoning or remote-sensing setup.
The T-S2 is intended for indoor installation in residential and light commercial zoned HVAC applications. It serves as a remote room-temperature input for the system controller, allowing accurate sensing in spaces away from the main thermostat. Confirmed compatible controllers include the UT32, T-32-P, and Z-2000-T. It is wired directly to the controller using low-voltage wiring routed through the wall or ceiling as required by the installation layout.
The T-S2 is confirmed compatible with the following IO HVAC CONTROLS units: UT32, T-32-P, and Z-2000-T zone controllers.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Power down the zone controller and associated air handling equipment before making any wiring connections. Route low-voltage sensor wiring per the controller manufacturer wiring diagram and applicable local codes. Avoid mounting the sensor in locations subject to direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources, as these conditions will cause inaccurate temperature readings.
