The IO HVAC CONTROLS RM-1610 is a rectangular zone damper designed for use in forced-air HVAC zoning systems. It ships with a 3-wire Belimo actuator that opens and closes the damper blade to control airflow to individual zones. The actuator operates on a 35-second stroke cycle, providing controlled, gradual modulation that reduces system pressure spikes. Rated for a 16 x 10 inch duct opening, this damper is installed by licensed HVAC technicians as part of a multi-zone ducted system managed by a zone control board or thermostat panel.
This damper is suited for residential and light-commercial forced-air zoning applications where independent room or zone temperature control is required. It fits into rectangular supply or return duct runs with a 16 x 10 inch cross-section. The 3-wire Belimo actuator wiring configuration is compatible with standard zone control systems that use 24-volt control signals to open and close dampers on demand from a zone controller.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation zone damper for residential and light-commercial ducted forced-air systems using 3-wire Belimo-style actuator wiring and a 24-volt zone control panel.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with zoning system wiring and ductwork. Disconnect power to the air handler and zone controller before wiring the actuator. The damper must be mounted in the duct with airflow direction observed as indicated on the damper body. Verify that the zone control board supports 3-wire actuator operation before connecting.
