The IO HVAC CONTROLS MZR-1004-W-PO is a motorized zone register designed to control airflow in residential and light commercial HVAC zoning systems. It measures 10 inches wide by 4 inches tall with a 6-inch depth and weighs 3 pounds. The register operates on a powered-open actuation method, meaning the motor drives the damper blade to the open position when energized. When power is removed, the damper returns to the closed position by spring action. HVAC technicians install this register in ducted forced-air systems to balance airflow across zones and reduce energy waste in unoccupied areas.
This motorized zone register is suited for residential forced-air zoning installations and light commercial applications where individual room or zone control is required. It fits into standard duct openings sized for a 10 x 4 inch register. The white finish blends with standard ceiling and wall finishes. It is typically wired to a zone control board or thermostat-driven controller that manages multiple zones within a single air-handler system.
Designed as an OEM-style motorized zone register replacement or new-install component for ducted forced-air HVAC zoning systems accepting a 10 x 4 inch register in a powered-open configuration.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Power down the air handler and zone control board before wiring the register actuator. Follow the zone controller manufacturer's wiring diagram and adhere to NEC low-voltage wiring requirements. Do not force the damper blade manually, as this can damage the actuator mechanism.
