The IO HVAC CONTROLS MD-2610-BM is a rectangular two-position zone damper built for ducted HVAC zoning systems. Measuring 26 inches wide by 10 inches tall, it controls airflow through a single zone by fully opening or fully closing on demand. The unit ships with a Belimo three-wire actuator mounted on the bottom of the damper body. Two-position operation means the actuator drives the blade to fully open or fully closed, with no modulating intermediate positions. HVAC technicians install this damper as part of a multi-zone forced-air system tied to a zone control board and individual thermostats.
This damper is suited for residential and light commercial zoning applications where rectangular duct sections require motorized airflow control. The bottom-mount actuator configuration is commonly used when overhead clearance is limited or when bottom access is more practical for wiring and service. The Belimo three-wire actuator provides reliable spring-return operation, driving the blade open on a call for conditioned air and returning it to the closed position when the zone is satisfied. Installers integrate this unit with standard 24-volt zone control boards as part of a complete zoning layout.
Designed as an OEM-style zone damper for use in rectangular-duct residential and light commercial forced-air zoning systems controlled by 24-volt zone control boards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with ducted zoning systems. Power down the air handler and de-energize the zone control board before wiring the actuator. Secure the damper into the duct section according to the manufacturer dimensions and confirm the blade rotates freely before making final wiring connections. Follow applicable mechanical codes and the zone control manufacturer's wiring diagram when connecting the three-wire actuator leads to the control board.
