The IO HVAC CONTROLS LD-2008-BM is a 20 x 8 inch rectangular 2-position zone damper designed for ducted HVAC zoning systems. It ships with a 3-wire actuator and an integrated LED status indicator, making commissioning and troubleshooting faster in the field. The bottom-mount actuator configuration is suited for installations where side access is restricted. This damper controls conditioned airflow to individual zones, opening and closing on command from a zone control board or thermostat. Licensed HVAC technicians and sheet metal contractors are the primary installers.
This damper is applied in residential and light commercial forced-air zoning installations where rectangular duct runs require 2-position on/off airflow control. The 20 x 8 inch duct opening fits standard rectangular trunk or branch duct in split systems, heat pumps, and gas furnace air handler setups. The bottom-mount actuator design accommodates duct runs with limited clearance on the sides. The LED indicator allows technicians to confirm actuator position during startup and diagnostic checks without additional test equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation zone damper for rectangular ducted forced-air zoning systems requiring a 20 x 8 inch 2-position damper with a 3-wire actuator.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable mechanical codes. Power down the air handler and de-energize the zone control board before wiring the actuator. Confirm duct opening dimensions before cutting or fitting to avoid remounting. Verify control board compatibility with 3-wire actuator wiring before energizing the system.
