The IO HVAC CONTROLS LD-1814-BM is an 18-by-14-inch rectangular two-position zone damper designed for forced-air HVAC zoning applications. It ships with an integrated 3-wire actuator and a status LED that allows technicians to confirm damper position at a glance without removing covers or using a meter. The bottom-mount actuator configuration suits duct runs where side-access is limited. Licensed HVAC technicians install this damper as part of a zone control system to regulate conditioned airflow to individual areas of a structure, improving comfort and system efficiency.
This damper is suited for residential and light-commercial forced-air zoning systems. The rectangular 18-by-14-inch blade fits standard duct openings of that nominal size. The two-position design means the actuator drives the blade fully open or fully closed on a call from the zone control board - there is no modulating or variable-position function. The bottom-mount actuator orientation is typically chosen when the damper is installed in a horizontal duct section with clearance below.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation zone damper for residential and light-commercial forced-air zoning systems using two-position, 3-wire actuator-compatible zone control boards.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician. De-energize the zone control panel and air handler before wiring or mounting. Follow the zone control board manufacturer's wiring diagram for proper 3-wire actuator connections. Verify the damper blade moves freely and the LED indicates correct open and closed positions after power-up before closing the duct access.
