The IO HVAC CONTROLS HD-BM-NA-1612 is a two-position zone damper designed for ductwork airflow control in zoned HVAC systems. Sized at 16 inches by 12 inches with a bottom-mount configuration, this damper ships without an actuator, allowing the installer to match the actuator to the system controller already in use. The 5/8-to-1/2-inch shaft accommodates common actuator drive configurations. Licensed HVAC technicians install this component as part of multi-zone forced-air systems where independent temperature control is required across separate areas of a structure.
This damper is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air zoning applications. The bottom-mount design fits duct installations where access or geometry requires the actuator to be positioned along the bottom face of the duct. The no-actuator configuration is commonly selected when integrating into existing zone control panels or when a specific actuator torque rating or voltage is already specified by the zone control system in use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation zone damper for two-position zoned forced-air HVAC systems using a 16 inch by 12 inch duct opening with a bottom-mount actuator configuration.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician. The air handling system and zone control panel must be fully powered down before installing or wiring the damper or any actuator. Actuator selection must match the low-voltage signal type and torque requirements of the zone control board in use. Duct connections should be sealed per local mechanical code requirements after the damper is secured in position.
