The IO HVAC CONTROLS HD-BM-NA-1410 is a two-position zone damper designed for duct-based zoning systems in forced-air HVAC applications. It fits a 14-inch by 10-inch duct opening and ships without an actuator, making it compatible with field-supplied actuators that match the 5/8-inch to 1/2-inch shaft specification. The bottom-mount configuration positions the actuator mounting bracket at the base of the damper frame, which is common in applications where overhead or side access is limited. Licensed HVAC technicians install this component as part of multi-zone residential or light commercial systems.
This damper is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air zoning installations where individual zones require independent airflow control. The two-position design moves between fully open and fully closed, making it appropriate for on/off zone control rather than modulating applications. It is installed in the supply or return duct trunk and paired with a compatible zone controller and separately sourced actuator. The bottom-mount bracket orientation should be confirmed against the install location before ordering.
Designed as an OEM-style two-position zone damper for use in rectangular duct zoning systems requiring a 14-inch by 10-inch damper with a bottom-mount actuator configuration and a 5/8-inch to 1/2-inch shaft.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the zone system manufacturer's wiring and control guidelines. Shut down the air handler and de-energize the zone control panel before fitting the damper into the duct. The actuator is not included and must be sourced separately to match the 5/8-inch to 1/2-inch shaft; confirm actuator torque rating and voltage requirements against the zone controller before mounting. Seal all duct connections per applicable codes after installation to prevent air bypass.
