The INTERNAL TOOL 68-1370-C is a double-end, solid carbide corner rounding end mill designed for precision edge profiling in demanding machining environments. It carries a 3/8-inch corner radius, a 1-inch mill diameter, and three straight flutes with a right-hand cutting and flute direction. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life when cutting ferrous and exotic materials at elevated speeds. At 4 inches overall length with a 1-inch cylindrical shank, it mounts securely in standard end mill holders. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production facilities are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for edge rounding and radius milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and super alloys including titanium. The double-end configuration provides two usable cutting ends, reducing per-edge tooling cost in high-volume applications. Its micrograin carbide substrate supports interrupted cuts and abrasive materials where coarser carbide grades would fail prematurely. It is appropriate for both vertical machining centers and manual knee mills with rigid setups.
Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and super alloys and titanium. Fits standard 1-inch cylindrical end mill holders and collet chucks on vertical machining centers and CNC mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the 1-inch shank fully in a properly sized end mill holder or collet and torque the retention hardware to the machine tool manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and select feeds and speeds appropriate for the workpiece material and coating type per your tooling reference data.
