The INTERNAL TOOL 10-1470 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal diameter machining. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance bores in production and job-shop environments. The bar features a right-hand cutting direction, a minimum bore diameter of 0.32 inches, and a maximum bore depth of 1 inch. Overall length is 2.5 inches with a 3/8-inch shank diameter. The 4-degree relief angle and 1.5-degree bar end angle suit universal workpiece materials, making this bar a reliable choice for machinists working across a range of materials.
This boring bar is suited for use in CNC lathes and manual turning centers where small-diameter internal bores are required. The 1-inch projection and compact 2.5-inch overall length allow access to shallow bores with minimal overhang. The micrograin carbide construction supports use on ferrous and non-ferrous materials, making it applicable across general machining, toolroom work, and production turning operations where consistent bore finish and dimensional accuracy are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling fit for lathes and turning centers accepting a 3/8-inch shank boring bar in right-hand configuration.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank firmly in a compatible toolholder to the full recommended engagement depth before operation. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the bar. Do not exceed the rated bore depth or use the bar for interrupted cuts beyond its design application.
