The INTELLINET 342162 is a Category 6 patch cord designed for structured cabling and network device connections in commercial and residential installations. Terminated with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends, this cable spans 7 feet (2.0 meters) and meets CAT 6 performance standards for high-speed data transmission. The red jacket provides a quick visual identification option for network admins and field technicians managing dense patch panels or server rack environments. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors are the primary installers.
This patch cord is suited for connecting network switches, routers, patch panels, wall jacks, and end-user devices in Ethernet-based LAN environments. The 7-foot length works well for short equipment-to-patch-panel runs inside server racks or for desktop-to-wall-jack connections in office and light commercial settings. CAT 6 performance supports Gigabit Ethernet and 10-Gigabit Ethernet at shorter distances per TIA-568 specifications.
Designed as an industry-standard CAT 6 patch cord compatible with RJ-45 ports on switches, routers, patch panels, network interface cards, and other IEEE 802.3 compliant network devices.
Installation is performed by network technicians or low-voltage cabling contractors following TIA-568 structured cabling standards. No tools are required for patching; simply seat the RJ-45 connectors firmly until the latch clicks. Avoid sharp bends below the cable minimum bend radius to prevent signal degradation. Do not route alongside high-voltage electrical runs to minimize electromagnetic interference.
