The INGERSOLL RAND TOOL HOIST DXS2SM27 is a 27mm metric standard impact socket built on the Drive Xchange System direct-drive platform. Rather than using a traditional square drive, it connects directly to compatible DXS impact wrenches, creating a tighter fit with more load-bearing surface area. The result is up to 15% better torque transfer and up to 20% longer wear life compared to conventional square-drive sockets. Constructed from chrome molybdenum (CR-MO) alloy steel with a manganese phosphate finish, this socket is engineered for high-cycle impact use in demanding shop and field environments. A licensed HVAC tech, automotive technician, or industrial maintenance professional would find this socket appropriate for heavy fastener work.
The DXS2SM27 is designed for use with Ingersoll Rand DXS2 direct-drive impact tools. The direct-drive connection reduces overall tool length by up to 0.75 inches compared to traditional socket-and-anvil combinations, improving access in confined spaces. The ball nose retention pin allows quick tool-free installation and removal. Relieved 6-point hex corners help protect fastener flats from rounding under high torque loads. High-visibility laser-etched size markings make it easy to identify the correct socket quickly on a busy work bench or in a shadow board organizer.
Designed for use with Ingersoll Rand DXS2 direct-drive impact tools. A square retention pin conversion kit is available separately for use with standard square-drive connections.
Installation and removal of the DXS2SM27 requires no tools thanks to the ball nose retention pin - press and seat the socket directly onto the DXS tool anvil before use. Confirm the retention pin is fully engaged before operating the impact wrench. Always disconnect or power down pneumatic or electric impact tools before changing sockets. Inspect the socket for cracks or deformation regularly; do not use damaged sockets under impact loads.
