The INGERSOLL CUTTING TOOLS 6322695 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Carrying the ANSI/ISO designation SQGU070408TR-M IN2530, this square-shaped insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual coating over a coarse-grain carbide substrate. The IN2530 manufacturer grade is engineered for toughness and wear resistance across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert measures 0.2750 inches in inscribed circle diameter and 0.1650 inches thick, with a 0.0310-inch corner radius and a positive rake geometry that reduces cutting forces and promotes clean chip evacuation. It is held in the toolholder by screw clamping and is suitable for use by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This insert is intended for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium - material groups P, M, and S in ISO classification. The right-hand, single-sided design delivers up to 8 cutting edges per insert, maximizing cost-per-edge value in production environments. Maximum depth of cut reaches 0.2000 inches, making it well suited for shoulder milling, square-shoulder profiling, and finish passes where consistent edge geometry and coating integrity are critical. The M chip breaker geometry supports chip control across varying feed rates on these challenging materials.
Compatible with cutter series 1DJ1E and DJ5E per manufacturer data. Conforms to ANSI and ISO insert standards under designation SQGU070408TR-M IN2530.
Installation is performed by CNC machinists or toolroom technicians using the appropriate torx or hex key for the clamping screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out before seating or replacing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage before mounting a new insert. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's recommended clamping torque procedure to prevent insert movement or pocket damage during cutting.
