The INGERSOLL CUTTING TOOLS 6125301 is a replaceable drill tip designed for indexable drilling systems used in precision metal cutting applications. Made from solid carbide with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating, this tip delivers hardness and heat resistance needed for high-productivity drilling. It features a 22.00 mm cutting diameter, a 90-degree included drill point angle, and a straight flute design. The tip measures 0.394 inches in overall projection length and 0.323 inches in functional length. Coolant-through capability is built in, supporting chip evacuation and thermal control during deep or interrupted drilling operations. Installation uses a clamp-style holding method at Insert Seat Size 22.
This drill tip is suited for machining centers, CNC lathes, and drilling stations in both job shop and production environments. It is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The broad material compatibility reflects its ISO-coded grades P15, P30, M15, M35, S05, S20, covering a wide range of workpiece categories under ANSI standards. Typical applications include through-hole and flat-bottom drilling operations where coolant delivery is integrated into the tooling system. The ISO designation for this tip is TPF2200R01 IN2505, part of the TPF series.
Designed for use in TPF-series indexable drill bodies with Insert Seat Size 22. Compatible with workpiece materials classified under ISO codes P, M, K, N, S, and H, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. ISO designation: TPF2200R01 IN2505.
Installation and replacement of this drill tip should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before removing or seating the tip. Use the correct torque wrench and clamp screw specified by the drill body manufacturer to secure the tip at Seat Size 22. Do not exceed spindle speeds or feed rates outside the parameters published in the toolholder documentation for this seat size and diameter.
