The INGERSOLL CUTTING TOOLS 5805671 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance face and shoulder milling operations. It carries the ISO designation AOMT180508R IN2030 and the ANSI designation APEH64R01 IN2030, both identifying it as a parallelogram-style insert in the APEH series. The insert is coated with TiAlN via a PVD process, providing heat and wear resistance suited to demanding cutting environments. With a positive rake geometry, a sharp cutting edge style, and a relief angle of 11 degrees, it is engineered to reduce cutting forces and deliver clean chip evacuation. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists install these inserts in compatible indexable milling cutter bodies.
This insert is intended for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium - covering ISO material groups P, M, K, and S. It is applicable in both roughing and finishing passes where a right-hand, single-sided insert with a positive rake is appropriate. The IN2030 grade uses a coarse grain solid carbide substrate well suited to interrupted cuts and variable-condition machining encountered in job shop and production environments alike. Compatible cutter series include 12J1E, 12S1E, 22J3E, 23J6G, 2J1E, and 4W2A.
Compatible with Ingersoll cutter series 12J1E, 12S1E, 22J3E, 23J6G, 2J1E, and 4W2A. Designed as an OEM-style indexable insert for use in Ingersoll APEH-series indexable milling cutter bodies that accept screw-clamped inserts of this geometry and size.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque driver for the clamping screw to avoid stripping threads or cracking the carbide substrate - refer to the cutter body manufacturer's torque specification. Handle carbide inserts with care; edges are sharp and the substrate is brittle under impact.
