The IMPORT C52000447 is a No. 8 pan head sheet metal screw designed for fastening thin-gauge sheet metal and light-duty assemblies in HVAC, electrical, and general trade applications. It features a square drive recess for positive bit engagement, reducing cam-out during installation. The Type AB point allows for self-starting in pre-punched or drilled sheet metal without the need for a pilot hole in most applications. Finished in zinc plating for basic corrosion resistance, this screw measures 1-1/4 inches in length under the head and is manufactured from Grade 2 steel. Sold in multiples of 100 per order.
This fastener is a standard fit for sheet metal ductwork connections, electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and light fabrication work commonly encountered in HVAC and electrical installations. The pan head profile provides a broad bearing surface suitable for material thicknesses typical in residential and light commercial sheet metal work. The square drive is compatible with standard No. 2 square drive bits available to most field technicians.
Designed as a standard No. 8 pan head Type AB sheet metal screw suitable for use in sheet metal ductwork, electrical enclosures, and similar light-gauge metal assemblies common in HVAC and electrical trade work.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal workers using a No. 2 square drive bit and an electric screwdriver or drill. Ensure the workpiece is securely supported before driving fasteners. Do not overdrive screws in thin-gauge material, as stripping the hole will compromise the connection. Follow applicable codes such as SMACNA standards for ductwork fastening patterns where required.
