The 135-degree split point reduces walking on contact and eliminates the need for a center punch on most surfaces. An oxide coating provides baseline corrosion resistance and reduces friction during cutting. The parallel web configuration and web-thinned geometry keep cutting forces manageable across a range of material hardnesses.
