The IMPORT BD3019 is a Type 1 flat cut-off wheel designed for cutting steel in demanding trade applications. It measures 3 inches in diameter with a 1/16 inch thickness and a 3/8 inch arbor hole. The wheel is constructed from reinforced aluminum oxide abrasive with a 46 grit rating, making it suited for aggressive material removal on ferrous metals. It carries a hardness code of S and is rated to a maximum of 25,450 RPM. This wheel is used by pipefitters, plumbers, electricians, and general contractors who need a compact cutting wheel for handheld rotary tools and small angle grinders.
The BD3019 is built for cutting steel in tight spaces where a larger wheel is impractical. Its 3 inch diameter makes it compatible with compact pneumatic and electric cut-off tools commonly used in mechanical rooms, panel work, and rough-in installations. The reinforced construction helps the wheel resist breakage under lateral stress during standard straight cutting passes. This product ships individually but is intended to be ordered in multiples of 25 to maintain job-site supply.
Designed for use on steel. Compatible with compact rotary cut-off tools and small angle grinders that accept a 3/8 inch arbor and operate within the 25,450 RPM maximum speed rating.
This wheel is installed and operated by any trade professional using a handheld cut-off or rotary tool. Always verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed 25,450 RPM before mounting the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never use a damaged wheel. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required during all cutting operations per standard shop safety practice.
