The ILSCO 31530 is a dual-rated aluminum panelboard lug designed for mechanical termination of copper or aluminum conductors in panelboard and switchboard applications. The lug accepts a conductor range of 600 kcmil down to 2 AWG, accommodates three conductors across three ports, and connects using a 1/2-inch internal hex drive fastener. The tin-plated aluminum body resists corrosion and maintains long-term conductivity at the termination point. Rated for use at up to 35 kV and a temperature rating of 90 degrees C, this lug meets the demands of commercial and industrial electrical installations where reliable, code-compliant terminations are required.
This panelboard lug is used in residential and commercial electrical panels, switchboards, and load centers where multiple conductors must be landed on a single lug position. Its dual-rated construction allows termination of either copper or aluminum conductors without requiring separate lugs for each conductor material. The two-hole mounting footprint uses a 3/8-inch bolt with a 1.375-inch hole spacing, securing the lug solidly to a bus bar or panel stud. Licensed electricians performing panel builds, service upgrades, or feeder termination work are the primary installers of this component.
Designed as an OEM-style mechanical panelboard lug for use in panelboards and switchboards accepting a two-hole, 3/8-inch bolt mount with 1.375-inch hole spacing. Suitable for rigid conduit system applications where copper or aluminum feeder conductors require a listed termination point.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the panel before installing or removing any lug. Use a calibrated torque tool with the correct 1/2-inch internal hex bit and tighten to the torque value specified on the lug body or manufacturer documentation. Do not mix conductor materials within a single port unless the lug is explicitly listed for that configuration.
