The IGUS MSI-3236-32 is a plain bore sleeve bearing engineered for industrial shaft and bushing applications where maintenance-free operation is a priority. Built from M250-grade thermoplastic, this bearing is self-lubricating, eliminating the need for grease or oil service over its service life. It measures 2 inches inside diameter, 2-1/4 inches outside diameter, and 2 inches overall length. With a maximum pressure-velocity rating of 9800 psi, it handles moderate-to-high load and speed combinations in a compact footprint. It is installed by maintenance technicians and mechanical service professionals across industrial and commercial equipment.
This bearing is suited for rotating or sliding shaft applications in industrial machinery, material handling equipment, conveyor systems, and similar mechanical assemblies where low-friction, self-lubricating performance is required. The plain bore design accepts standard shaft sizes and press-fits into a housing bore held between 2.2495 and 2.2505 inches. It is appropriate for both residential mechanical and light commercial equipment where thermoplastic bearings are specified. The M250 series from IGUS is commonly used wherever metal bushings are being replaced with a lighter, corrosion-resistant alternative.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit sleeve bearing for industrial and commercial mechanical assemblies requiring a 2-inch ID plain bore bushing with a 2-1/4-inch OD and 2-inch overall length in a thermoplastic M250 series specification.
Installation is typically performed by a qualified millwright or mechanical maintenance technician. Ensure the housing bore is within the specified limits of 2.2495 to 2.2505 inches before pressing the bearing into place. De-energize and lock out all rotating equipment before removing or installing any bearing. Do not use excessive force or impact tools that could crack or deform the thermoplastic material during installation.
