The IGUS MFI-1214-16 is a flanged sleeve bearing manufactured from M250-grade thermoplastic for dry, self-lubricating operation. It features a 3/4-inch bore, 7/8-inch outside diameter, and 1-inch overall length, with a 1.125-inch flange outside diameter and a 0.062-inch flange flange thickness. The self-lubricating construction eliminates the need for external grease or oil, reducing maintenance intervals in applications where relubrication is impractical. Rated to a maximum pressure-velocity of 9800 psi, this bearing is suited for moderate-to-heavy radial load applications. Licensed HVAC, mechanical, and industrial service technicians install this type of bearing in rotating assemblies, linkage pivot points, and shaft support systems.
This bearing is appropriate for residential and light commercial mechanical systems where a compact, low-friction plain bore bushing is required. Typical applications include fan shaft assemblies, actuator pivots, conveyor linkages, and similar rotating or oscillating components. The flanged design seats flush against a housing face for positive axial retention without additional hardware. The M250 thermoplastic material is compatible with a broad range of operating environments, including those with intermittent exposure to moisture or mild chemicals.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement flanged sleeve bearing for rotating and oscillating shaft assemblies requiring a 3/4-inch bore and 7/8-inch outside diameter within the IGUS M250 series.
Installation is typically performed by mechanical or HVAC service technicians using standard press or hand-drive tooling. Power down and de-energize all rotating equipment before removing or installing bearings. Verify housing bore dimensions fall within the specified 0.8750 to 0.8760-inch limits before pressing the bearing into place to ensure proper retention and load distribution. Do not apply grease or oil to the bearing bore, as the self-lubricating material is designed for dry operation.
