The IGUS GSI-2022-16 is a plain bore sleeve bearing engineered for light-to-moderate load applications where maintenance-free operation is required. Manufactured from a G300-grade thermoplastic compound, this bearing is self-lubricating, eliminating the need for grease fittings or scheduled lubrication intervals. It measures 1-1/4 inches inside diameter, 1-13/32 inches outside diameter, and 1 inch overall length. With a maximum pressure-velocity rating of 28,600 psi, the GSI-2022-16 handles demanding rotary and oscillating shaft applications across industrial and mechanical systems. Licensed trades and maintenance professionals install this bearing in equipment where low-friction, polymer-based bushings outperform metal alternatives in corrosive or dry-run environments.
This bearing is suited for use in conveyor systems, material handling equipment, agricultural machinery, and general industrial assemblies where a compact, self-lubricating bushing is specified. The plain bore design accepts standard round shafting and fits into housings within a bore range of 1.4058 to 1.4068 inches minimum and maximum respectively. Its thermoplastic construction makes it a practical choice in applications where metal bearings would corrode, seize, or require frequent lubrication. HVAC equipment manufacturers and industrial OEMs also use this series in fan shaft and damper pivot assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation sleeve bearing for shafts with a 1-1/4 inch diameter requiring a housing bore between 1.4058 and 1.4068 inches. Part of the IGUS G300 series.
Installation is typically performed by millwrights, maintenance technicians, or licensed mechanical trades. Press-fit the bearing into the housing bore using an arbor press or a properly sized installation tool - do not strike the bearing face directly with a hammer. Ensure the shaft and housing bore are clean and within specified tolerances before installation. Disconnect and lock out all power to rotating equipment before servicing bearings.
