The IGUS GSI-1011-12 is a plain-bore sleeve bearing engineered from self-lubricating thermoplastic in the G300 series. It carries a 5/8-inch inside diameter, a 23/32-inch outside diameter, and a 3/4-inch overall length. The G300-grade thermoplastic material eliminates the need for external lubrication, reducing maintenance intervals in light-duty rotating or sliding shaft applications. With a maximum pressure-velocity rating of 28,600 psi and an operating temperature range of -40 to 275 degrees F, this bearing suits demanding environments where metal bearings would corrode or require periodic re-greasing. HVAC techs, maintenance mechanics, and industrial service professionals are the typical installers.
This bearing is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, fan assemblies, conveyor systems, and general industrial machinery where a compact, corrosion-resistant plain bearing is required. The 5/8-inch bore accepts standard shaft sizes in that range. Housing bore limits of 0.7184 to 0.7192 inches allow for precise press-fit or slip-fit installation into machined housings. Its RoHS II compliance makes it appropriate for equipment sold into regulated markets. The self-lubricating property is especially useful in hard-to-access shaft locations where routine greasing is impractical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service part for plain-bore sleeve bearing applications requiring a 5/8-inch shaft, 23/32-inch outside diameter, and 3/4-inch overall length in equipment that accepts G300-series thermoplastic bearings.
Installation is typically performed by a qualified mechanic or HVAC technician. Power down and de-energize all equipment before removing worn bearings or servicing rotating shafts. Verify housing bore dimensions against the specified limits of 0.7184 to 0.7192 inches before pressing or sliding the bearing into place. Avoid applying excessive axial force during installation that could crack the thermoplastic material.
