The IGUS 10-3-038-0 6' is a fixed open cable and hose carrier manufactured from Igumid G, a glass-fiber-reinforced polymer material engineered for continuous flexing and mechanical wear resistance. At 6 feet in overall length, this energy chain provides organized routing and protection for cables, hoses, and tubing in moving machine applications. The inside channel measures 1.5 inches wide by 0.71 inches tall, giving technicians a defined, controlled pathway for bundled conductors or fluid lines. The 1.5-inch bend radius keeps cable bend stress within manufacturer limits during reciprocating travel. Industrial maintenance technicians and OEM machine builders are the primary installers.
This carrier is suited for linear reciprocating motion applications in light industrial machinery, automation equipment, CNC setups, and material handling systems. The fixed open design allows cables and hoses to be laid in from the top without disassembling the chain, simplifying initial installation and future service access. With 23 individual sections and a link-to-link pitch of 1.2 inches, the chain segments provide consistent, predictable articulation across the full 6-foot run.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation energy chain for light industrial and automation equipment requiring a fixed open cable carrier with a 1.5-inch inside width and 1.5-inch bend radius.
Installation is typically performed by industrial electricians or machine maintenance technicians. De-energize all equipment and relieve any hydraulic or pneumatic pressure before routing cables or hoses through the carrier. Secure both the fixed end and the moving end attachment points to the machine frame and carriage per the machine manufacturer mounting requirements. Do not exceed the rated bend radius or allow the chain to twist laterally during operation.
