The IGUS 06-16-028-0 1' is a fixed open cable and hose carrier manufactured from Igumid G, a self-lubricating, wear-resistant polymer material developed for continuous cable management applications. This carrier guides and protects electrical cables, pneumatic hoses, and data lines in moving machine assemblies. It features an inside width of 0.63 inches and an inside height of 0.41 inches, with a bend radius of 1.1 inches. The fixed open design allows cables to be laid in from above without disassembling the chain. Licensed electricians, machine builders, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This cable carrier is suited for light-duty industrial and automation applications where controlled cable flex and routing are required. The 1-foot assembled length spans 32 sections with a link-to-link pitch of 0.79 inches, making it appropriate for short-travel linear and rotary motion systems. It is commonly installed on CNC equipment, robotic arms, packaging machinery, and similar equipment where repeated cable movement would otherwise cause premature wear or failure. The open fixed design simplifies cable inspection and maintenance without removing the carrier from the machine.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation cable carrier for light-duty industrial motion systems requiring a fixed open cable and hose management solution with a 0.63 inch inside width and 0.41 inch inside height.
Installation is performed by qualified machine builders, electricians, or industrial maintenance technicians. De-energize all associated equipment and relieve pneumatic pressure before routing cables or hoses through the carrier. Secure the fixed end and moving end brackets per the machine manufacturer's specifications before cycling the carrier through its full range of motion. Do not exceed the rated bend radius during installation, as overbending can cause premature link failure or cable damage.
