The INTERNATIONAL COMFORT PRODUCTS raf060h02a0aaa is a 6-ton commercial rooftop unit (RTU) designed for direct rooftop installation in light commercial HVAC applications. It operates on R-454B refrigerant, a lower-GWP alternative that meets current environmental standards, and incorporates X-Vane Fan Technology for efficient airflow delivery. The unit uses a scroll compressor with internal line-break overload protection for reliable operation and long service life. A thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) handles refrigerant metering on this 6-ton model. Licensed HVAC technicians and commercial mechanical contractors typically install and service this equipment.
This rooftop unit is built for commercial rooftop installations where single-point gas and electrical connections simplify rough-in and reduce installation time. An optional Hot Gas Re-Heat dehumidification system is available for applications requiring improved part-load humidity control, such as restaurants, retail spaces, or other occupancies with variable latent loads. The tool-less filter door and tilt-out filter tracks make routine maintenance faster, and filter size consistency across the RAF product line reduces the need to stock multiple filter sizes for facilities running several units.
Designed for use within the RAF rooftop unit product line, which covers 3 to 6 ton configurations. Consult equipment documentation and curb specifications to confirm compatibility with existing roof curbs and ductwork connections before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified commercial mechanical contractor in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer's installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and shut off the gas supply before servicing any components. Verify roof curb alignment, ductwork connections, and drain provisions before setting the unit. Refrigerant work requires EPA Section 608 certification and must use approved recovery equipment.
