The ICC ICCABR6VGY is a Category 6 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) solid-conductor riser-rated cable, supplied in a 500-foot pull box. Built with 23 AWG, 4-pair solid copper conductors and a CMR (Communications Multipurpose Cable, Riser) jacket rating, this cable is engineered for structured cabling installations inside commercial and residential buildings. The CMR rating means it meets fire-propagation standards for vertical runs between floors without requiring conduit in most jurisdictions. Low-voltage installers and data cabling technicians specify this cable for horizontal and backbone runs in permanent in-wall or in-ceiling installations.
This cable is suited for Ethernet backbone and horizontal runs in office buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and multi-family residential projects. It supports CAT6 performance standards, making it appropriate for Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) and 10GBASE-T applications over shorter distances. The solid-conductor construction is intended for fixed, permanent terminations at keystone jacks, patch panels, and surface-mount boxes. It is not intended for patch cord or frequent-flex applications.
Designed as an OEM-style riser-rated CAT6 structured cabling solution for use with standard 8P8C (RJ45) keystone jacks, patch panels, and surface-mount boxes meeting TIA-568 wiring standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage cabling technician familiar with TIA-568 structured cabling standards and applicable local fire and building codes. De-energize any adjacent circuits before routing cable through walls, ceilings, or risers. Maintain minimum bend radius and avoid sharp kinks that can degrade signal performance. Solid-conductor cable must be terminated with punch-down tools rated for solid conductors and should not be used for movable patch cord applications.
