The IBERVILLE BG804L is an insulated conduit grounding bushing designed to provide a reliable ground path at conduit terminations in rigid metal conduit and IMC installations. Manufactured from die-cast zinc with an insulated throat, this bushing protects conductors from abrasion at the conduit end while ensuring a solid electrical ground connection. The aluminum lug accepts both copper and aluminum conductors ranging from 14 to 4 AWG (copper) and 12 to 4 AWG (aluminum). At 1-15/16 inches in diameter and 19/32 inches in height, the BG804L fits 1-1/4 inch trade size conduit. It carries UL approval and is listed for use on rigid conduit and IMC systems. Licensed electricians install this fitting as part of equipment grounding conductor terminations in commercial and industrial electrical distribution systems.
The BG804L is used on 1-1/4 inch rigid metal conduit and IMC where a grounding bushing with an insulated throat is required by code. This type of bushing is commonly specified in commercial, industrial, and multi-family residential installations where conduit terminates at panels, enclosures, junction boxes, or service equipment. The insulated throat design is frequently required by the NEC at conduit entries to protect conductors from sharp edges. The aluminum lug provides a secure termination point for the equipment grounding conductor.
Designed for use on 1-1/4 inch trade size rigid metal conduit and IMC. Threaded type installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage before working at any panel, enclosure, or junction box where this bushing will be installed. Thread the bushing onto the conduit end, then torque and secure the grounding lug conductor termination per code requirements. Ensure the equipment grounding conductor is properly sized and connected before restoring power.
