The IBC sfc125-1 is a condensing combination boiler designed to deliver both space heating and domestic hot water from a single unit. Rated at 95% AFUE with a full ASME-rated heat exchanger, it operates on natural gas or propane and covers an input range of 100 to 125 MBH. At its core are two independent copper waterways embedded in a cast aluminum block, a patented two-in-one heat exchanger configuration that condenses flue gases during both space heating and domestic hot water production. This design minimizes heat loss and maximizes heat extraction across all operating modes. Licensed HVAC and hydronic heating contractors install and service this unit in residential and light commercial applications.
The sfc125-1 fits residential and light commercial hydronic heating systems where a single appliance must handle both space heating and domestic hot water loads without a secondary DHW plate heat exchanger or a 3-way valve. The unit accepts a 0-10 VDC signal for integration with building management or zone control systems. Outdoor reset technology automatically lowers supply water temperature based on outdoor conditions, improving seasonal efficiency. It is compatible with standard Propylene Glycol, making it suitable for installations in freeze-prone climates or systems requiring antifreeze protection.
Designed as a dual-fuel condensing combi boiler compatible with natural gas and propane fuel sources, and compatible with standard Propylene Glycol hydronic systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC or hydronic heating contractor in accordance with applicable local codes, IFGC requirements, and the manufacturer instructions. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before any service or connections. The unit includes a built-in bypass valve, eliminating the need for a separate 3-way valve or secondary DHW plate heat exchanger, which simplifies the hydronic piping layout. Verify flue venting configuration and condensate drainage comply with local code requirements before commissioning.
