The HUNTER INDUSTRIES SOLARSYNCSEN is a wired weather-sensing sensor designed to work with compatible Hunter irrigation controllers. It monitors solar radiation and temperature conditions to automatically adjust watering schedules based on real-time environmental data. The sensor connects directly to the controller via low-voltage wiring and delivers continuous input that allows the system to increase or reduce run times without manual intervention. Installation is handled by irrigation technicians and landscape irrigation professionals familiar with Hunter control systems.
The SOLARSYNCSEN is intended for residential and light commercial irrigation applications where weather-based scheduling improves water efficiency. It mounts in an exposed outdoor location where it can receive unobstructed sunlight and accurate ambient temperature readings. Compatible controllers process the sensor signal to calculate evapotranspiration-style adjustments automatically. This sensor is the wired version, making it suitable for installations where a wired connection to the controller is preferred or required.
Designed for use with Hunter irrigation controllers including the PC, ACC, I-Core, and X-Core platforms.
Installation should be performed by a qualified irrigation technician. Shut down the irrigation controller and disconnect power before making any wiring connections. Mount the sensor in a location with full sun exposure and route low-voltage wiring back to the designated sensor terminals on the controller per manufacturer wiring diagrams. Refer to local codes and the controller installation manual for terminal labeling and routing requirements.
