The HUNTER INDUSTRIES I2012 is a 12-inch pop-up rotor sprinkler head designed for professional irrigation systems. When the zone activates, the riser extends 12 inches above grade, delivering consistent rotary coverage before retracting flush with the turf. The integrated FloStop feature allows a technician to shut off flow to an individual head without interrupting pressure to the rest of the zone — a significant time-saver during nozzle swaps or lateral line service. The 3/4-inch inlet threads directly into standard swing-pipe assemblies or threaded lateral fittings. This head is installed by licensed irrigators and landscape contractors in commercial turf and large residential applications.
The I2012 is suited for large turf areas where deep setback from a curb, building face, or planting bed requires a longer riser height to clear ground cover or heavy thatch. The 12-inch pop-up height makes it a common choice for athletic fields, golf rough areas, commercial medians, and residential estates with established sod where a standard 4-inch or 6-inch head would produce unacceptable throw obstruction. The 3/4-inch inlet supports the higher flow rates typical of these larger coverage zones.
Designed as an OEM-style rotor head for use in professional irrigation lateral lines utilizing 3/4-inch threaded connections in commercial turf and large-scale residential irrigation systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed irrigator or qualified landscape contractor in accordance with local irrigation codes and backflow-prevention requirements. Shut off the zone valve and depressurize the lateral line before removing or installing any rotor head. Use teflon tape on all threaded connections and verify the head is set to finished grade height before backfilling to prevent riser binding. Do not overtighten the inlet fitting, as plastic threads can crack under excessive torque.
